Genesis - creation
Exodus - Israelites cross the Red Sea
Leviticus - laws that God gave the Israelites
Numbers - Moses counts all people in Israel
Deuteronomy - Moses reteaches the law of God
Joshua - Joshua led people into Promised Land & warned people to stick close to God.
Judges - stories of men & women God uses to save Israelites from enemies.
Ruth - Ruth stayed with her aging mother-in-law, Naomi.
1 and 2 Samuel - stories of Kings including Saul and David
1 and 2 Kings - stories of Kings including Solomon and Ahab
1 and 2 Chronicles - retells the history of the kingdom of Israel
Ezra - Ezra taught God's instruction to the people
Nehemiah - Nehemiah helped rebuild Jerusalem
Esther - Esther, Queen of Persia, bravely saved her people
Job - an extremely wealthy man that had everything taken from him, yet he maintained his faith.
Psalms - each chapter, mostly written by King David, is a song of praise to God
Proverbs - contains wise sayings that King Solomon wrote
Ecclesiastes - King Solomon tells how our faith in God should mean everything & to enjoy our blessings
Song of Solomon - a love poem written by King Solomon that shows us God's design for a happy, loving marriage
Isaiah - Judah will be a strong nation, but must resist sin
Jeremiah - resit sinning and accept God's rules
Lamentations - Jerusalem is destroyed
Ezekiel - God rules over all men and nations
Daniel - God continues to love Israel while punishing them
Hosea - Warnings to Israel to obey God's laws

Amos - Israel continues to sin
Obadiah - God remains faithful to Israel
Jonah - God is strict, but forgiving
Micah - God cares for us all and wants to forgive our sins

Habakkuk - God will punish evildoers
Zephaniah - God will judge mankind
Haggai - Israel finally obeys God and the temple is rebuilt
Zechariah - God will sweep away sin and rule over the earth
Malachi - We should always do our best for God
